Here’s a concise summary of the walkthrough:

- The spreadsheet tracks **food pantry donations and expenses**, showing a **fund balance** that reflects donations minus expenses.
- Each month includes:
    - Donations (cash, gifts, cons),
    - Expenses,
    - A calculated balance, which is **reconciled against actual balances** from the register, QuickBooks, and amounts owed to OVCA for Restaurant Depot purchases.
- **Expense details** are broken out by vendor (Amazon, Walmart, Lidl, etc.), and **yellow journal entries** represent monthly Restaurant Depot orders through the school.
- A separate tab lists **donors and dates** (no amounts) for thank-you note purposes.

**2025 overview:**

- End of October: fund was **–$5,000**.
- November: **$6,100 in donations** (including a $5,000 gift) and about **$586 in expenses**, bringing the balance **positive (\~$447)** for the first time since 2023/2024.
- December: only **$260 in donations** and about **$1,300 in expenses**, dropping the balance back to **–$627** (likely due to holiday giving going to other ministries).

**2026 to date:**

- Started January at **–$627.38**.
- January: **$522.44 in donations** and **$981.09 in expenses**, ending at **–$1,086.03**.
- A **$2,000 city grant** has just been finalized and is expected in **February**, which should bring the fund back into a positive balance.

The walkthrough closes by inviting questions and offering follow-up as needed.
