Extrinsic Camera Calibration Tutorial in Rock Desktop

Introduction to Extrinsic Calibration

Selecting and Placing Key Points

Calibrating and Projecting Point Clouds

Finalizing and Saving Calibration

This video provides a detailed demonstration of performing extrinsic camera calibration using Rock Desktop software. It guides through selecting images with identifiable features in both LIDAR intensity and RGB camera views, placing key points accurately across multiple images, and processing the calibration to ensure proper alignment of point clouds with images. The tutorial emphasizes the importance of a good spread of key pair matches and iterative refinement for improved calibration accuracy.
