What a team actually pays
Monthly plans multiply by the number of people who need a paid seat. Annual plans work differently: Atlassian prices them by user tier, so the total follows the tier that fits your team.
| Team of 10 | Business | Business + AI |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly billing, per year | $2,160 | $2,880 |
| Annual billing, per year | $1,800 | $2,400 |
| Annual saving | $360 | $480 |
In the 26–50-seat range checked, annual quotes move in five-seat tiers. For example, 26–30 users cost $5,400 a year for Business or $7,200 for Business + AI. That explains the calculator's price jump at 26 users.
What each plan includes
Starter
Starter suits someone trying Loom or sending an occasional short update. The limits that matter are 25 recordings and a 5-minute cap on video recordings. Loom's two pricing pages describe the free workspace differently: loom.com says up to 50 members, and Atlassian's FAQ says up to 10 users. Check the current limit if your plan depends on it.
Business
Business removes the recording and video-count limits. It also adds basic waveform editing, removal of Loom branding, video upload and download, and request-email-to-view. Loom.com lists quality up to 4K on this plan.
Business + AI
This plan adds Loom's AI features, including automatic meeting notes and recaps, automatic video enhancement, advanced editing, video-to-text automation and admin insights. Atlassian offers a 14-day free trial. It's the plan to price if your team wants written output from recordings as well as the recordings themselves.
Enterprise
Enterprise adds SSO, SCIM, advanced content privacy, custom data retention policies, Salesforce integration and a 99.95% uptime SLA. Pricing comes from sales, and Atlassian says the plan is available only on annual subscriptions.
How to choose a Loom plan
- Short, occasional updates: Starter may be enough, as long as you can stay within 25 recordings and 5 minutes.
- Regular team video: Business is the usual starting point because it removes those limits.
- Notes and documents from video: compare Business + AI with tools built around that job.
- Security review or SSO: plan for Enterprise and a sales conversation.
Lower-cost options if you mainly document processes
If your team records work so that someone else can repeat it, the price of the recorder is only part of the decision. The more useful question is whether the recording turns into something a teammate can follow.
Kommodo Premium costs $15 a month, or $108 a year per user ($9 a month), and adds team seats. For 10 users on annual billing, that's $1,080 a year. Free accounts get unlimited recordings, and each recording stays available to you and your viewers for 60 days. Guides from Free accounts show viewers the first 10 steps.
Kommodo isn't a full match for every Loom feature, so compare the workflows you use. You can read our side-by-side Kommodo vs Loom comparison, see the wider list of Loom alternatives, or check Kommodo pricing.
